This past weekend was a busy weekend for our Juniors. Several players participated in tournaments over the weekend and competed very well.
Allie Schnarr, who is part of our Academy Elite program traveled to Cincinnati to battle other Midwest players in the Girls 14 and Under division. Allie, entered the tournament as a #1 seed (based on USTA Rankings). She won her first two rounds routinely before ultimately falling in the finals to Nora Perkins (Carmel,IN). This is Allie best result since the Ed Yarbrough Memorial Tennis Classic in June.
Nichole Henning also represented ETC in Cincinnati. Nichole competed in the Girls 16s age division. Her first round opponent was second seeded Mea Trent ( West Chester, OH). After beating Trent 6-2, 6-2 Nichole would continue to roll to the finals. Nichole kept things competitive before ultimately falling to top seeded Ellen Zureick (Burlington, KY). This weekend’s tournament results catapulted Nichole’s rankings by 52 spots in the USTA Midwest Standings.
Saturday, ETC hosted another 10 and Under tournament that featured Girls and Boys Green Ball divisions, and a Co-Ed Orange Ball division.
